It’s pretty easy to spot a style of drawing from a particular artist since they get the inspiration from their childhood, personal backgrounds, or the place in which they are living. Some artists love the Northern lights as well as oil paints, so they combine two of them to create a lot of amazing artworks. Others love to draw digitally on Photoshop, so they make some artsy manipulative photos. And other artists love to depict realistically portraits of human beings. Art makes the world go merry, and we receive comfort when those masterpieces touch our hearts. In Japan, there is an artist who uniquely illustrates adorable animals by flowers and leaves. Immediately, his botanical artworks have drawn netizens’ attention because they are too cute to ignore. Meet Hiroki Takeda, a Japanese anthophile and animal lover who uses watercolor to paint colorfully the amazingness of the animals kingdom.

Watercolor painting is not strange to all of us. However, it takes professional techniques to get the best results which can only be taught in fine art universities. Hiroki attended several watercolor classes, and his passion started boiling inside him.
“I was shocked by how beautiful the watercolors were painted by the special instructor I met there. I learned about the beauty of watercolor as an art medium, and he taught me about it.” – He said.
As ambitious as he was, the Japanese artist kept improving and leveling his skills during the university. He wanted to find something intimately inspirational in the surroundings to enhance his God-gifted talent.
“I am never satisfied with my expression, I can only imagine that my worldview is just beginning and evolving.” – Hiroki passionately shared.

When asked the raw inspiration that he came up with, Hiroki openly exposed his personal life. Hiroki grew up in a family whose garden was always blooming, he found himself madly in love with flora and fauna. That was also his beloved mother’s adoration. Finally, Hiroki decided to invest in his time, talent, effort, and hope to create those watercolored works of art.
“I knew I wanted to draw pictures with flowers and plants as motifs when I was searching for original artworks. When I was looking at pictures of animals, the flow of their hair looked like leaves, and the scales of iguanas looked like a collection of flowers. At that time, I felt that there might be some unique expression that I can apply to my paintings.” – The artist said.
